OK. So in my attempt to slow things down a bit I have come across a few good recipes for bread. Since finding these recipes I have not bought bread because they are fabulous! I want to share them because they are so good and because we need to start looking at where our food comes from. There are so many artificial products that are sold every day, but do we really know where any of it comes from. The more you do yourself, the fewer chemicals and toxins you will ingest. The first recipe for white bread is from the website "Dinner with the Bickfords".  This particular recipe is for the bread machine.  My husband recently bought me one and I was determined to use it. The recipe is so simple, I thought "This will not turn out alright, it's too easy". However, to my surprise it was amazing!

1. In bread machine place, water, oil, and salt

1 1/3 cup warm water
1/3 cup oil
2 tsp salt

2. Add flour on top of liquids. Place sugar in one corner. Make a well in the flour and place yeast in the well.

4 cups flour
2 tbsp and 2 tsp sugar
3 tsp yeast

3. Start bread machine! I use the basic bread setting on mine and it takes about 2 and 1/2 hours.

For those who prefer Wheat bread, no worries! I have you covered as well. My father will only eat wheat bread so I had to find one that he would like. After many near misses, I finally found one that he likes too. This recipe comes from bread machine recipe. Again this is for the bread machine.

1. Add water, butter, and salt to the bread machine.

1 1/4 cup water
1 1/2 tsp butter
1 3/4 tsp salt

2. Add flour, sugar, and yeast on top of liquids.

1 3/4 cup wheat flour
1 3/4 cup flour
1 3/4 tsp sugar
1 3/4 tsp yeast

3. Start bread machine! I use the basic loaf setting on my machine which takes about 2 and 1/2 hours to finish.

Another great way to know what chemicals one is taking in is to make your own butter as well. I use an organic whipping cream and put it the food processor. This takes about 5 min or so. This will produce both butter and buttermilk. Separate the two and you can use the buttermilk for other recipes as well. As the whipping cream starts to form the butter you will notice liquid also forms. This liquid is the buttermilk. To get all of the liquid out of the butter just press the butter in cheese cloth after it's done. I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as I do.

Ok. So on the slowing down I am not sure things are going so well as I seem to be more busy lately than usual. LOL. I am beginning to wonder in this fast paced world, if one really can slow down.
I have come across a few good ways to make money from home and most of them require mostly nothing but clicking a few links.  One I have already received payment from is Inbox dollars. They give you $5.00 to sign up and send you email that you click the link and earn money from. They also have other things you can do to make money. They require $30.00 before you can cash out and it usually takes me a couple weeks to a month to come to this balance. The link to sign up if interested is http://www.inboxdollars.com/?r=ref15111663
Another one that I like is Mypoints. This is another one that pays you for doing certain things. I have also been paid on this one several time. They don't offer a link to sign up but if you do sign up and are asked if you were referred please mention my name.
Ebates is another site that pays you to shop online. They send a check every couple of months and you earn cash back on purchases you make online. If you do any online shopping at all this is one to check out. The link to sign up is http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=A%2F%2BXP%2FRtQW2pKMMpZNQW9w%3D%3D&eeid=26471. I have already been paid by this one twice so they do pay when they say they will. My next check comes next month!
These are the only ones I have actually been paid through so far but I am looking at other websites similar to these. I will post them here also if they actually pay out. I would hate to post something that I am unsure of. So look forward to seeing more links like this.

Life on the Road

Have you ever noticed that everyone is such a hurry anymore? It seems that no one has the time to stop and smell the roses. I have recently been trying to slow things down a bit. I am tired! Tired of constantly being on the go, tired of running here and there, just plain tired.
I am on a journey and I would like to try to enjoy it while it lasts because we are not here forever. Because of this, I am doing more of what makes me happy rather than what I do not enjoy. Of course we all have to work but can't we enjoy our work? I think this is where we go wrong. We choose a career because it pays well or it will put our name "out there" but shouldn't we enjoy what we HAVE to do every day? We all want to make lots of money or be rich and famous, but we also know this does not happen to many people. So, what I suggest is that you find what you LOVE to do and figure out how to make money with it.
That said, this will be a testament to my journey. I am starting here. I love to write so I am going to try to do something with that. As I find things that work I will let you know and as I find things that do not work, I will also let you know. Maybe someone can use this information to do the same. I will try to get on at least once a day to update.
My other endeavor is to start eating a more clean diet. I plan on starting a garden for vegetables and cooking more things from scratch. As I find recipes that are good  I will pass them along to you. No more buying bread for me either. Starting today I will be making my own as well.

I hope that someone finds this information useful.
